Who we are

eSIM in Trip is operated by eSIMinTrip Global Limited, registered at SUITE C, LEVEL 7, WORLD TRUST TOWER, 50 STANLEY STREET, CENTRAL HONG KONG under registration number 81139482.

We sell prepaid travel eSIMs for visitors to Vietnam, running on the Viettel network. We are a reseller: Viettel operates the network, and we issue and support the eSIM profiles.

What you are buying

A prepaid, data-only eSIM profile. Plans give you 5GB per day at 5G speed, in 3, 7, 15 or 30 day validities, priced in US dollars.

Data only means exactly that: no voice calls, no SMS, and no Vietnamese phone number. If you need a local number for bank or delivery verification, this is not the right product for you.

Personal hotspot is allowed, subject to the same daily allowance.

Coverage, speed and 5G availability depend on the Viettel network at your location. We cannot guarantee a particular speed anywhere in Vietnam, and remote areas may fall back to 4G or have no service at all.

Your device must support eSIM

Your phone needs to support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked. Checking this is your responsibility, and it takes a minute — most phones show eSIM support under their mobile network settings.

If you are unsure, ask us on Telegram before you pay. We would rather answer a question than process a refund.

Delivery

After payment, we email your QR code and activation details to the address you gave at checkout. This normally takes a few minutes.

It is a digital good — there is nothing to ship and no physical SIM.

If the email has not arrived within an hour, check your spam folder, then message us. Nearly every missing delivery is a typo in the email address, which we can fix.

Activation and validity

Your plan's validity starts when you activate the eSIM — that is, when you install the profile and it connects to the network — not when you pay.

So you can buy days or weeks ahead of your trip and still get the full validity period, as long as you install it after you land or with mobile data turned off until you arrive.

Once the validity period ends, the plan stops. Unused data does not carry over and cannot be transferred to another plan.

Fair use

The allowance is per day, per eSIM. Once you have used the day's 5GB, speed may be reduced or data may stop until the next day begins.

Plans are for personal travel use. Reselling the profile, using it for commercial bulk traffic, or anything unlawful under Vietnamese law will get the eSIM suspended without a refund.

Payment

Payments are processed by Airwallex, which accepts cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Card details go to Airwallex, not to us — we never see or store a full card number.

All prices are in US dollars. Your bank may add a currency conversion or foreign transaction fee, which is between you and your bank.

Refunds

Refunds are covered by our Purchase & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. The short version: an eSIM you have never activated can be refunded within 30 days; once it is activated, it cannot.

Our liability

If something goes wrong with an eSIM we sold you, our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid for it.

We are not responsible for indirect losses — a missed booking, a missed ride, a missed call — caused by loss of connectivity. Mobile networks fail sometimes, and a travel data plan should never be the only thing standing between you and a problem.

Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force for your order is the one published on the day you bought it, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of HongKong, and disputes are heard by the courts of HongKong.

This document is written in English. If we ever publish a translation, it is offered for convenience only — the English version governs if the two disagree.
